Back-to-school

 

 

Welcome back to school to all the boys and girls in the Infant School.Junior Infants are settling in very well.Thank you to parents for having children presented so well for school in their lovely uniforms.A big welcome back to all our teachers,SNA's, secretary and caretaker.

Note:Junior Infants go home at 11:15 until Friday 11th September.From Monday 14th September all pupils go home at 1:45.Parents are asked to collect Junior Infants from classroom door each afternoon.All pupils line up in the yard in their class lines each morning at 9:05 and are brought into class with teacher.

 Fifth Green Flag

What a great day in the Infant School today as we raised our fifth green flag on biodiversity.We welcomed our Community Guard Barry Curtin.The Green Team along with Garda Barry raised the flag as pupils read their poem on biodiversity and sang a lovely song.Well done to all involved especially Mrs Carroll for her hard work in securing this flag and also to Ms Healy for assisting with tyhe Green Team this year.

 

 Hurling Final  2015

What a fabuous afternoon pupils in rooms 1&2had today as they battled it out in the finals.

Cork played Mayo in Room 1 while in Room 2 Offaly played Dublin.

While Mayo and Offay emerged as winners on the day the matches were closely contested.

Well done to all teams and a huge thank you to Paddy from Good Counsel GAA as well as class teachers Ms Coffey and Mrs Carroll.

All pupils received medals for their participation.

 School Walk 10th June 2015

What a fabulous day we had for our school walk.The sun shone kindly on us and all pupils were so well behaved on their walk to and from the park under the supervision of teachers.Thank you to all teachers for looking after children so well.

A huge thank you to all families who supported this venture.Your generosity is gratefully appreciated.

We will inform you in our June Newsletter of the final amount raised.

We hope that you will find lots of useful information about our school.Our Lady of Good Counsel Infant School, Mourne Road, Drimnagh, Dublin 12 is a co-educational primary school under the patronage of the Catholic Archbishop of Dublin. It is located in the Parish of Mourne Road,Drimnagh Dublin 12.

School1 The Infant School enrols boys and girls for junior infants, senior infants and first classes. Pupils normally transfer to the Senior Girls' School and Senior Boys' School (on same campus) for 2nd to 6th classes.

This year the Infant School has an enrolment of 154 approx pupils with staffing of 15 teachers and additional support staff. 

Parents wishing to enrol pupils for classes in the Infant School should contact the school in person or by telephone at 4556594.
